Bring Organics Back was founded in January 2010. It is owned and managed by Celebrity Chef Chad Cherry and his wife, Karen Cherry. Chef Cherry first became interested in the culinary industry because of a, near fatal, health issue. He developed diabetes and was admitted to the hospital for several weeks. After his release from the hospital, he found it difficult to balance his busy corporate life with his new medical regimen, and quickly resigned. Chef set out on a journey to find a way to rid himself of the use of insulin. He was successful when he learned to change his diet and lower his stress level.

Youth Speak Collective is a youth-driven nonprofit empowering low-income youth and their families in the Northeast San Fernando Valley with the skills necessary to pursue higher education and create strong communities. In 2006, Youth Speak Collective Co-Founder and Executive Direction David Kietzman saw an urgent need for educational resources and activities for youth living in the San Fernando and Pacoima. Through an eight week seminar Youth Speak helped students explore community needs, grassroots organizing, and grant writing skills to bring new resources into the community. Eight years later we serve more than 5,000 youth annually through creative arts, academic programs and youth empowerment groups.
